Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) is delivering the Republican Party’s response to President Joe Biden‘s State of the Union address.

Britt, 42, is considered a rising star within the GOP, being the youngest female Republican senator ever elected. Delivering the opposition response to the State of the Union address is a coveted appointment, especially among newcomers, allowing them to enter the national spotlight.
