Philadelphia Councilman Nicolas O’Rourke is delivering the progressive response to President Joe Biden‘s State of the Union address, offering a counter to the president from his left flank.

O’Rourke is expected to deliver the response shortly after Biden concludes his address to Congress, which is set to begin at 9 p.m. EST.

The progressive response is one of several planned reactions to the president’s address. Republicans will also deliver a response to Biden’s speech, with Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) set to speak shortly after the president finishes his remarks.
