Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) will preside over the hearing, titled, “Ensuring the Safety and Well-Being of Unaccompanied Children.” It will be the second hearing this year regarding unaccompanied minor safety.
Democratic lawmakers are pushing to increase the Labor Department budget, while Republicans suggest the Biden administration’s immigration policy is partly to blame.
