The event comes days after a second assassination attempt against Trump was thwarted while he was golfing in Florida.

Michigan is one of several key swing states that decide whether Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris wins the White House. The state has been rated a “toss-up” by the Cook Political Report. Harris leads Trump in the Real Clear Politics polling average in Michigan, 48.3%-47.6%.
