Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), the Republican vice presidential nominee, is holding a campaign rally in Big Rapids, Michigan.
Former President Donald Trump’s running mate is scheduled to address supporters on the economy, inflation, and manufacturing at 1:30 p.m. EDT. His speech comes after Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign unveiled an economic blueprint detailing price-gouging policies and tax hikes on big corporations.
Two weeks ago, Vance held a campaign event just over an hour away from Big Rapids as he spoke to Trump supporters in Byron Center, Michigan.

Trump trails Harris by 2 percentage points in the battleground state, according to the RealClearPolitics average of recent polls.
The former president narrowly lost Michigan during his 2020 presidential campaign. It is one of the states he will likely need to win this November in order to clinch a second term.
