This is the first press briefing since President Joe Biden announced he would pardon his son Hunter Biden Sunday night. The move has prompted backlash from Republicans and Democrats alike.
The president spent most of the last week on a visit to Angola where he brushed off reporters when asked about the pardon. Throughout his presidency, Biden had said he would not pardon his son.
