December 14, 2023 12:48 PM

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and National Security Council spokesman John Kirby will hold a press conference on Thursday.

The press briefing comes days after President Joe Biden told Democratic donors that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli government are losing international support as civilian casualties in Gaza stack up.

BIDEN OFFICIALLY A TARGET OF HOUSE IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY AFTER VOTE

Kirby has said the United States has “every expectation” that Israel will do everything it can to “minimize civilian harm.”

The war between Israel and Hamas surpassed one month last week following the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks against the Jewish state. Nearly 1,200 Israelis died in those attacks. Since Israeli military operations began in Gaza following the attacks, 18,412 Palestinians have been killed as of Tuesday, according to the Hamas-run Ministry of Health.

The briefing also comes the day after the House of Representatives voted to authorize an impeachment inquiry into Biden over an alleged criminal scheme on behalf of the president’s family.

The press conference will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
