WATCH: President Trump Teases “Very, Very Big Announcement” Before Trip to Middle East – “One of The Most Important Announcements that Have Been Made in Many Years”

During a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in the Oval Office on Tuesday, President Trump teased a major announcement that will be made in the coming days ahead of his trip to the Middle East.

“it’ll be one of the most important announcements that have been made in many years about a certain subject, very important subject,” he said before turning to introduce Carney.

Carney responded, “I’m on the edge of my seat” before thanking the President for his hospitality and outlining his priorities as Canada’s new leader.

It is unclear what announcement the President will make this week.

His comments were prefaced by an announcement that the US “will stop the bombing” against the Houthis in Yemen after the Houthis told the US that “they don’t want to fight anymore,” said Trump.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio cheered the “important development” that the US has completed the goal of stopping their threat against global shipping.

WATCH:

Trump: We’ll have maybe, before we’re going to, as you know, the Middle East and Saudi Arabian, we’re going to UAE and Qatar, and that’ll be, I guess Monday night; some of you are coming with us. I think before then, we’re gonna have a very, very big announcement to make, like, as big as it gets, and I will tell you on what, but it’s gonna— and it’s very positive.

I’d tell you if it was negative or positive, I can’t keep that out. It is really, really positive, and that announcement will be made either Thursday or Friday or Monday before we leave. But it’ll be one of the most important announcements that have been made in many years about a certain subject, very important subject. So you’ll all be here.

This is a developing story.
