Who are the top seeds?

The No. 1 seeds for the four regions in this year’s tournament include the University of Connecticut Huskies (East region), the University of North Carolina Tar Heels (South region), Purdue Boilermakers (Midwest region), and the Houston Cougars (West region).

How did last year’s Final Four participants do this year?

Last year’s national champions, UConn, returned to March Madness as the favorites to repeat as champions and are the top seed in the entire tournament, while the 2023 runner-up, the San Diego State Aztecs, qualified for the tournament again in 2024 as the No. 5 seed in the East region.

The other two 2023 Final Four participants had mixed results. The Florida Atlantic University Owls made the 2024 tournament as the No. 8 seed in the East region.

The University of Miami Hurricanes failed to make the NCAA tournament in 2024 after going deep into the tournament in 2023.
